OPS Airborne

Team OPS solved access issues in Japan recently, when filming the dolphin killing cove. Local fishermen had sealed off all vantage points on land, but an airborn solution was deployed. A thirty-foot helium filled blimp carrying a remote controlled camera captured overhead shots of the bloody scene.
Aired globally due to celeb support, the OPS footage will be a valuable component to the film, The Rising.
And what's with the cute face?
"Everybody loves a balloon" quips Assistant Director, Charles Hambleton. Initially intended to participate in the Taiji Whaling Festival, the dirigible was tagged by a Boulder-based graffiti artist, "for the children."

Is My Mercury Rising?

Many of us have enjoyed Chicken of the Sea tuna salad, California Rolls, grilled swordfish steaks over the years. Now we might wonder about the ill effects of  mercury on our systems. OPS Director, Louie Psihoyos has been monitoring his own levels through hair and blood tests.  With abstinence, he has been able to reduce his mercury levels from toxic to normal.

What Are They Up To?

Team OPS continues to edit and define the film. It now feels like a "Docu-feature" blending beauty and truth.
"It's really a love story with real people," says Executive Producer Paula DuPre. "It tells the story of dolphins and the people who love them."
