A big thanks to Broome, Australia
Broome, Australia booted their twisted sister city of Taiji this weekend. This is an exciting step toward ending the dolphin drives!
Thank you to the citizens of Broome for sending many many letters to the council, and to the Shire's councillors for voting unanimously to suspend their relationship with Taiji.
Also, thank you to the rest of you from around the world who urged Broome to make this decision. We really can make a difference!
You can read The Australian's coverage of the story here.
Countdown to the Slaughter
As we celebrate the success in Broome, the countdown until the slaughter resumes in Taiji this September continues.
TakePart has created a widget that counts down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the dolphin drives begin again.

The Cove in Japan
Even if The Cove doesn't screen at this year's Tokyo International Film Festival, we will still let the Japanese people know about what goes on in Taiji.
We're pleased that press in Japan are starting to take interest in The Cove.
Japanese newspaper The Asahi Shimbun published a story today about the film.
We hope this is the first of many more!
